QLD Public Holidays 2017 is the list of office holidays in Queensland. The government and private businesses in the state follow a set of public holidays. The public holidays in the state include national holidays and religious holidays. The state authority also declares regional public holidays in the state. The major official holidays of Queensland are New Year, Christmas, Easter, and Good Friday. The national holidays of Australia Day, Queen’s Birthday, Australia Day, and Boxing Day are also declared public holidays 2017.

As per rules, a replacement day is declared holiday if any festival falls on Saturday or Sunday. Hence, there will be a holiday on 27th December 2017 as the Christmas is on Sunday. Regional Holidays 2017 in Queensland

The state also observes regional holidays. 16th August 2017, Wednesday will also be a public holiday in Queensland. The day marks the Royal Queensland Show in Brisbane. The Royal Queensland Show is known as Ekka in the state. Competitors travel from all over the nation to take part. The show is run by the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland.
